Choir Concert

Purchase Tickets

The S&T jazz choir and chamber choir, directed by Professor Lorie Francis, will perform their spring concert at 7 p.m. Friday, April 26 in Leach Theatre. 

The jazz choir will perform "Sweden" from the video game MineCraft along with jazz and pop standards. The chamber choir will perform "A Vision Unfolding" written by Kyle Pederson and "A Vision Unfolding" which consists of five movements with texts by Langston Hughes, Walt Whitman, Robert Bode, and Kyle Pederson. The choirs will join together to perform "We are the Music Makers," "Let the Music Heal Your Soul," and "The Awakening."

Tickets are $5 for the public and free to youth, ages 18 and under, and Missouri S&T students with a valid ID.

Tickets can be purchased from 6-7 p.m. the day of the concert at the Leach Theatre Box Office, located inside the main entrance to Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street. Tickets can also be purchased in advance online or by calling 573-341-4219. Service fees may apply to tickets purchased online.

Orchestra Concert

The S&T symphony orchestra, directed by Dr. Kyle Wernke, will perform their spring concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28 in Leach Theatre. 

The orchestra will perform "Suite Bergamasque" written by Claude Debussy and orchestrated by Andrew Ardizzoia, and "Pines of Rome" written by Ottorino Respighi. 

Please join us in wishing Dr. Wernke farewell. This will be his final concert at S&T as he will be joining the faculty at Lehigh University in the fall as an assistant professor of composition and conducting. 

Tickets are $5 for the public and free to youth, ages 18 and under, and Missouri S&T students with a valid ID. If you would like to attend the 2 p.m. orchestra concert and 4:30 p.m. band concert on April 28, purchasing one ticket will get you into both concerts.

Band Concert

The university wind symphony and symphonic band, directed by Dr. David Samson, will perform their final concert of the spring semester at 4:30 p.m. Sunday April 28, in Leach Theatre.

The Symphonic Band will perform  "Legend of the Saura" by William G. Harbinson, "Mountain Thyme" by Samuel R. Hazo, "Instant Concert" by Harold L. Walters, "Pirates of the Aeolian" by Robert Reck, and "Star Spangled Spectacular" by George M. Cohen. The University Wind Symphony will perform "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky, orchestrated by Maurice Ravel and transcribed by Paul Lavender.

Tickets are $5 for the public and free to youth, ages 18 and under, and Missouri S&T students with a valid ID. If you would like to attend the 2 p.m. orchestra concert and 4:30 p.m. band concert on April 28, purchasing one ticket will get you into both concerts.
